SDSTA is pleased to annually recognize outstanding science teachers in four categories: 

    • Outstanding Physical Science (6-12)
    • Outstanding Earth & Space Science (6-12)
    • Outstanding Biology (6-12)
    • Outstanding Elementary STEM (K-5)

These awards are funded by community partners and selected by a committee of formal and informal educators in South Dakota. Winners are recognized at the SD STEM Ed Conference, held annually in Huron, SD where they receive a plaque and a $1,000 award. Nominate an outstanding teacher today. If you'd like to apply, no pre-nomination is required. If you are interested in sponsoring an award, please reach out to the Committee Chairperson, Ally Bowers, SDSTA Past-President.
